Zebra Class Assembly

Chengelo Primary School’s Preschool and Zebra Class (Grades 1 and 2) did their Class Assembly today, 11th July 2008.

Both groups shared work they had been doing in class recently and all the children did very well. The theme for Preschool was ‘Doctors and Nurses’ and included the song Miss Polly had a Dolly that was sick, sick, sick’. They also had been doing some work on shapes and showed how they could use particular shapes to make objects.

Zebra Class did a presentation entitled ‘God made Space’ and again it was all based on work the children had been doing during the term. It included a variety of areas such as counting, pictograms, writing about stars and planets, a drama based on Jill Murphy’s book Whatever Next?, rockets made in Design Technology, shape pictures made on computers, shared writing based on Rocket by Mick Inkpen, various songs and Bible verses.

We are all proud of the great range of work the children have been doing and how well they presented themselves. Well done to their teachers, Mrs. Muwowo, Miss Nakufa, Mrs. Jordan and Miss Cordiner.
