Forms 5 & 6 Prizegiving Day

Posted Oct 04, 2008

Prizegiving 1This year saw the presentation of a record number of prizes to our students. Whilst we cannot recognise all the achievements of our students, the prizes are to acknowledge those who stand out amongst their peers.

Our speaker this year at the Prizegiving our Headteacher Mr Cowling who challenged the school, as future leaders, to take up the Christian batton and "soar on wings like eagles".

This was followed by the presentation of prizes by Mrs Cowling. The Headboy, Daniel Kutontonkanya and Headgirl Chanika Nkweto also made speaches.

The prizegiving ceremony was followed by a special meal for parents and teachers of the Form 5 and Form 6  students.

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even Youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Isaiah 40: 28-31
